Being a clean coder is all about knowing which code to leave out.  You also need to know what code to delete when it becomes obsolete, or if it was never needed in the first place.


Adding code is easy. Everyone gets their start by cut-n-pasting some else's code. But every line of code you don't need is a burden. Delete that s++t.
